At Kinder Crayons, we work in association with the parents as the most lifelong influential mentor in their children's lives.

KCrayons is a holistic bilingual family childcare for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, our curriculum focus on STEM, learning by playing, art, and Outdoor Classroom. 


We support the child self-reliance, independence, preparing them for school and life.

Children Need Boundaries to Feel Loved and Safe

Our goals are to mentor the children in our program by helping every child develop their potential, their natural abilities, and academic skills for kindergarten by learning through play activities.

To mentor & coach parents on their parenting skills, as well as, setting boundaries for their children to strengthen the relationship between the parents and the child.

With more than 20 years of qualifications and experience working with families and children as a caregiver in the social service and education field. 


As a plus, Josefina is bilingual and has the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. 


She also has a Connecticut State Master Social Work License (LMSW)

Josefina is a Parent as Teacher Certified (2005); Pediatric Plus: CPR, AED & First Aid for Children, Infants & Adults Certified; and Medication Administration and EpiPen trained.

Kinder Crayons' mission is to mentor & coach parents and their children in the process of growing, developing, and learning by playing and having fun together like kids. To reaffirm the parent's leadership for their child, and strengthen the parent-child positive attachment.

Licenses and Credentials

Kinder Crayons is a licensed family child care program through the State of Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC). 


As a part of licensing requirements, the OEC inspects Kinder Crayons to ensure that it meets established health and safety requirements.


Josefina is a Parent as Teacher Certified; Pediatric Plus: CPR, AED & First Aid for Children, Infants & Adults Certified; and Medication Administration and EpiPen trained.


Josefina has a Connecticut State Master Social Work License (LMSW)

Josefina Cespedes, LMSW

Director

As a creative director, Josefina offers to each child and his parents more than 18 years of qualifications and experience working with families and children as a caregiver in the social service and education field, and the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.

For families’ advantage, she is fluently bilingual in English and Spanish.

Your family will have a person that not only will care and love your children; but who also has the early childhood knowledge to help them to grow happy and healthy emotionally, mentally, socially, and spiritually.

Josefina has a Master and Bachelor degree in Social Work from Nyack College, (graduated 2020 and 2004). 
She is certified to administer CPR and First Aid to young children and adults; and is Medication Administration and EpiPen trained.

Since 2004, she has been very active in the fields of education and early childhood, working with women and families within the church and at the community level. Also, she had involved as the community activist, defending the rights of immigrants and minorities with other church and community leaders in Connecticut.

Besides, as a Christian Pastor, Josefina offers to your child and family the spiritual component, which is an essential part of holistic child development, and for the wellbeing of the whole family.

  • All Our Kin Family Child Care Network. Through All Our Kin, child care providers frequently attend professional development training that keeps them up-to-date on the latest findings in child growth and development.
